Unit 4: Layers and Plates Level 1
"The Earth is like an Onion"
TASKS: All tasks should be completed by March 22.
Task 1: Title Page
Make a Title Page in your notebook for our next unit called "Layers and Plates". Your title page must include the words "Layers and Plates" and it should include colored images of the layers of the Earth. You can use my title page as an example to build from.
Task 2: Mechanical and Compositional Layers.
Grab the Drawing Layers of the Earth document from Mr. Tanner and add it to the next page of your notebook. If you are absent you can print your own copy out by clicking on the image of the document. Use the clues linked in the document below to help you determine the size and properties of each layer of Earth. Once you have solved all the clues you will draw the layers the write down their main properties.
Task 3: Earth's Outer Layers Flexbook
Click the button below for the class period to open the assignment in Google Classroom. Open the CK12 link from Google Classroom. Read the article that loads and watch all of the videos in the article as well. After completing the reading click the green "Start Practice" button to answer the questions. You need to answer 10 questions correctly before you have completed the assignment. After answering the questions, you must press the yellow turn-in button at the top of the page.

Read the article that loads and watch all of the videos in the article as well. After completing the reading click the green "Start Practice" button to answer the questions. You need to answer 10 questions correctly before you have completed the assignment. After answering the questions, you must press the yellow turn-in button at the top of the page.
Task 5: Layers of the Earth Notes
Grab a copy of the Layers of the Earth Notes or print your own copy by clicking on the image of the notebook below. Use the video next to the notes to help you understand the topic and complete the note sheet.
Task 6: Layers of the Earth Crossword Puzzle
Grab a copy of the Layers of the Earth Crossword puzzle or print your own copy by clicking on the image of the notebook below. Use the Layers of the Earth notes and the Quizlet Set for layers of the Earth to help you complete the crossword puzzle.
Task 7: Layers of the Earth GimKit
To complete this GimKit assignment you either have to earth $500,000 dollars or answer 80 questions correctly. You don't need to turn anything in. Your completion of the assignment is recorded online by GimKit.
